Tooni AI Content Policy

1. What Tooni is

Tooni is a drawing application for making comics and webtoons. Pressure-sensitive brushes, layers, cut and page layouts, speech balloons and text tools, and full-resolution export are the substance of the product, and all of them are available on a free account.

AI assistance is one feature inside that editor. It draws fictional characters, poses and backgrounds onto the canvas to help with work the user is drawing. What the paid subscription (Tooni Pro) unlocks is software capability — premium brushes, unlimited saved brushes, watermark-free export, a commercial-use licence — and the monthly AI allowance is one item among those.

2. What the AI generates

• Fictional comic characters, and poses and expressions for them
• Backgrounds and props
• A cleaned-up version of a rough sketch the user drew
• Text assistance such as polishing lines of dialogue or suggesting poses

Output is always an illustration. The 18 selectable art-style presets are illustration and painting idioms — Korean webtoon, Japanese anime, 3D animation, watercolour, oil, pencil, black-and-white manga, pixel art and so on. There is no preset that renders a person photographically.

Images may be attached only in these ways: (i) a rough sketch the user drew in the app; (ii) a character the user generated earlier, as a reference for drawing the same character at another angle or pose; (iii) up to four of the user's own drawings, as a reference for keeping their art style; and (iv) a photograph of a place, as a reference for redrawing that location as a background.

3. What the AI does not do

The following do not exist in the Service. They are not switched off by a setting or gated behind a higher plan — they were never built.

• Turning a photograph of a person into an image of a person — there is no path for converting a photo of someone into a character or portrait.
• Face swapping.
• Deepfake image or video generation.
• Voice synthesis, voice cloning or voice impersonation.
• Any photorealistic-person mode — see the preset list in §2.
• Automated decision-making, categorisation or scoring of people.
• A public gallery, a public feed or a marketplace — generated work stays in the user's own account and on their device, and the Company does not publish it.

4. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Depict, or attempt to depict, the likeness of a real person — their face, body or voice — without that person's explicit consent. This includes supplying a photograph of a public figure, a celebrity or any other person as a reference.
• Impersonate anyone, or create content designed to be mistaken for a record of something that did not happen.
• Create content that sexualises minors. This is prohibited without exception in any style, including illustration and comics; where we find it we suspend the account immediately and act as the law requires.
• Create sexually explicit content, gratuitous graphic violence, or content promoting hatred or discrimination against a group.
• Create content that promotes or instructs unlawful activity, or that harasses or threatens another person.
• Infringe another person's copyright or trade marks, including supplying another artist's work as a reference in order to reproduce their style or characters without permission.
• Circumvent safety measures or usage limits by technical means, or place an unreasonable load on the Service through automated bulk generation.

5. Enforcement

• AI generation runs through Google's Gemini API, and that provider's default safety filters apply. A request the filters stop is not completed, and the reason is shown to the user.
• Where we establish a breach of this policy or the Terms, we may restrict the content, restrict features, suspend the account or terminate the agreement. Where practicable we tell the user why and give them an opportunity to respond.
• Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors results in immediate suspension without that step, and we act as the law requires.
• We cooperate with lawful requests from law-enforcement and regulatory authorities to the extent the applicable law requires.

We do not routinely review the drawings users make. Generated work stays in the user's own account and is not published, so enforcement happens in response to a report, an error report, or a lawful request, and to that extent.

6. Reporting

If you find use that breaches this policy, or you believe your likeness has been used without your consent, write to robin.lee@twostepsahead.co.kr. Please include what you need us to look at — how you came across it, and any screen or link involved — so we can act quickly.

7. Changes to this policy

When the Service's features change, we update this policy with them. We give notice of changes that disadvantage users at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for material changes), in the Service or by email.
